Slow down, soak up the sun and get Solarized. The Western painted turtle inspired us to create Solarized Yuzu Double IPA. Featuring the exotic Yuzu fruit, characterized by a zippy grapefruit-like flavor with notes of mandarin orange and lemon zest, we carefully crafted a citrus-foward Double IPA that’s certain to shine a light.

12oz can enjoy by 05/09/23 into a pint glass.
L: Pours peach pulp gold w a 1/2" off white pocked head w good retention, low carbo, random splotches of lacing , wavy banding, spotty sheeting.
S: Hard pineapple, citrus zest, very tropical, grapefruit, honey, rich sweet malts & alcohol w warming.
T: The entire gushing orange fruit w rind, pulp, pith, a hint of honey, peach, moderately sweet, light lemon grass, sweet caramelized malts, citrus zest & resin, fairly clean tasting.
F: Brisk, semi-plush, sticky med-bodied feel w a med-length moderately drying finish that has a long linger.
O: An absolutely divine tasting & feeling American DIPA. This is my 1st brush with yuzu fruit and I like it here. Makes for a citrus-frwd burst of orange flavor. This beer is gently rich overall and is excellent in its style.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from the Woodman's in Onalaska, Wisconsin just outside of La Crosse. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had bright tangerine flare. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with apricot and stone fruit presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

excellent.
pours a hazy pale gold body with a cream-colored foam head that has moderately high retention and leaves a moderate amount of lacing behind as it settles to a murky cap with defined halo
aroma is zesty and citric yuzu with near-dank hop and big sticky caramel malt.
taste follows that up with a bright, floral, fairly sweet citrus bouquet evened out by a decent malt backbone and somewhat bitter orange-peel hop
mouthfeel is high carbonation and medium-light bodied that finishes semi-dry and leaves a floral, zesty yuzu aftertaste
overall:
as a fan of the Yuzu, this was an immediate hit for me. loved seeing it displayed in such an evenly balanced brew that enhances - never distracts. thoroughly enjoyed the pack over the course of a week and will certainly look forward to snagging another pack in the near future. it's a bright and fruity citrus forward IPA, so if you think that's your jam, dive on in.

12 oz can, dated 5/12/22. Pours hazy yellow peach with a huge creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass some.
The aroma is subdued, malty with stinky hops.
The flavor is sweet bready malts with fruit and some catty hops in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, I liked this better on tap, it was more subdued but less catty.
