Appearance: Pours a completely clear, medium yellow to golden color with a strong white head. There is visible sediment floating in the glass, however it remains clear. SRM of 7. (3.75)
Aroma: Moderate aromas of passionfruit, pineapple, grapefruit citrus, and lemon. Some hints of Asian citrus and mandarin orange fruit cups. (4.00)
Flavor: Moderate flavors of passionfruit, pineapple, grapefruit citrus and lemon. Some light Asian citrus and some Mandarin orange notes. A light and faint malt profile. (3.75)
Feel: Medium to lighter bodied. Low carbonation. Finish is somewhat flat. Finish is light and clean on the tongue, but can feel the sediment. Alcohol is hidden well among the light body. (4.00)
Compared to Surly Hyper Modern IPA 3/25/22: Pours a lighter and clearer color. Milder aromas. More passionfruit, grapefruit citrus, mandarin orange. Less tart citrus, pear, elderberry.
Overall: A nice passionfruit IPA. Drinks like a zesty and citrusy IPA that gives it that passionfruit flavor, however I wouldn't have called this a passionfruit IPA without knowing it. A faint sweet mandarin orange sweetness. Almost like an Asian fruit. The carbonation here is lacking. Hides the alcohol well as it is is hard to detect and drinks like a lighter IPA than I would expect, almost without a malt body. Lighter and cleaner. Pretty nice, but nothing I would call extraordinary. (Final Rating: 3.84)

Hazy gold color with some floating particulate and a decent foamy white head that settles down to just a ring but does manage some decent lace.
The aroma is grapefruit, pine resin and passionfruit with a bit of light grain.
The taste is sweet/tart passionfruit, with plenty of grapefruit and pine backing it up, hints of light malt. The finish is somewhat dry with lingering grapefruit and pine.
The body is medium, smooth and very drinkable with a good level of carbonation.
Altogether, this is a very drinkable, very enjoyable brew, very juicy and flavorful.

Pours a hazed gold with 3 fingers of pearl colored head. Above average head retention & lacing
S: Tropical & citrus fruit, fades a little down the stretch
T: Plenty of passion fruit, a little OJ, up front. Some pink grapefruit mixes with the passion fruit as this warms. Finishes a little dry with grapefruit, pineapple & passion fruit
MF: Medium body, low carbonation, nice balance
Easy to drink, passion fruit dominates, some citrussy notes

L- Tall puffy open cell white head with loose lace starting from the top and sticking. Color is orange gold with tiny darker particulate and high hazy clouds, really interesting look.
N- Nose is passion fruit, grapefruit, very light pine, produce dept and perhaps a touch of yeast and alcohol.
T-Some passion fruit on the sides of the tongue with light grapefruit and orange down the center. Light alcohol taste on the finish, not hot at all.
F- Mouthfeel is slick and not cloying with a little dry streak down the tongue. Good tiny bubble and light carbonation with a smooth finish

Poured from a can. Orangish and slightly hazy with a small white head. Smells of orange, grapefruit and passion fruit. Passion fruit really comes through on the flavor side with hints of orange, malt and bread. Avb is hidden very well would not guess it's an imperial IPA.

12 fl oz pull-tab can:
The passionfruit lands, but the hop profile isn't standout.
Balanced enough, if a bit warm boozewise.
C+ / ABOVE AVERAGE

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of passionfruit, orange peel, pine and toasted caramel. Sweet fruity taste with a citrusy kick and a caramel malt backbone.

pours a hazy light orange gold with a white billowing froth head that has low retention and leaves a moderate amount of thin sudsy lacing patches behind as it settles to a murky cap with thin defined halo
aroma is near-dank, lush and thick spiced tropical fruit and maybe a dash of sweet onion
taste is springy, lush spiced tropical fruit hop medley with suggestions of more resinous pine that never fully materializes, though an interesting sweet onion bitterness does kick in towards the end
mouthfeel is lighter-side of medium bodied with mid-level carbonation that runs pillowy and borderline prickly, mostly juicy with a slight wateriness in the edges. finishes slightly dry with a lingering bright juiciness that borders sourness
overall:
passion fruit, mango, spice, sweet onion, and gumption lead this IPA in an insanely drinkable adventure in hop possibility. it never feels imperial, never feels 8%, never feels extreme or acidic or punchy. it's mid-level dank, mid-level funk-side-of-hop-by-way-of-onion-n-spice. I will absolutely pick this up again and again and hope it becomes as commonplace as some of the others you can count on finding by this fantastic brewery.

12 oz can, dated 1/20/22. Pours slightly hazy yellow with a small white head that goes to a thin film that leaves some lacing.
The aroma is mild tropical fruit and resiny hops.
The flavor is sweet fruity malt with lots of bitter resiny piney hops in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with low carbonation.
Overall, a nice fruity bitter DIPA.
