Pours a clear golden yellow with bubbles rising to the top and a nice thick white head.Aroma offers some belgian yeast providing some fruity esters and bubble gum along with a some hay from pilsner malt base. Flavor is much the same fruity esters, bubble gum, hay, and a touch of grassy hops in the finish. A medium body, creamy mouthfeel with some activity (not good for a saison, but decent for this beer). Overall,I liked this beer though I do suspect others who might try it might not feel the same way. For a 6.1% abv saison this beer really does fall quite a bit short. Odell should try to keep this beer as close to what it is while lowering the abv to 5% or less and relabel it a Belgian session ale. Then they would have themselves a more successful beer. As is, its more in line with a Shiner 666 (which has the advantage of being much cheaper and lower abv) than a Hennepin.
