Collaboration with Melvin Brewing. Brewed with rice. Come join us as we introduce a brand new IIIPA in collaboration with our wonderfully drunken friends from Jackson Hole, WY, Melvin Brewing. This One Goes to Eleven certainly lives up to the name since this IIPA does hit 11% abv.

Misc.: Collab between Melvin and Monkey Paw

Saw this about a week ago on Melvin’s website and was excited to get to try it. I believe it was brewed with rice, picking on AB 10 Barrel. Absolutely love everything Melvin does and Monkey Paw is pretty legit as well. Hoping around a 4.20. Kind of had to rush this review unfortunately.

Pretty dark at Tiger! Tiger!, but appeared to pour a straw semi-hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of rocky white head when I got it. Could not see any bubbles. World-class spiderweb foamy lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.25)

Smelled dank resin, pine, Simcoe, mango rind, pine sap, caramel malts, herbal and leafy veggies. (Smell - 4.25)

Wow on the taste! Got Citra, spicy Simcoe, pine, citrus zest, resin, herbal and woody notes. Rushed this, but this was good. So damn smooth. (Taste - 4.50)

Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Long, smooth finish. (Feel - 4.75)

Holy shit this was good. So damn smooth for 11 pct. ABV. Bummed I didn’t have another. (Overall - 4.50)
