Poured from a draft into a pint glass at Urge Gastropub in Rancho Bernardo (San Diego), Calif., on Aug. 3, 2012 ($5 for 2nd anniversary party). 1-to-1 ½ fingers of head. Golden pale color. Thick white foam. Good and lots of retention all around the pour.
Smell lots of hops (surprisingly). Also lemon, bread and sweet sugary floral notes.
Not what I was expecting on the taste, but the best part of this beer. Sharp hops, giving way to Lemon Lime G2 Gatorade. Also some grape in there. Bitter, but watery ending.
Light body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Bitter, but smooth watery finish.
Really enjoyed this beer. I hope it stays around and wasn’t just a one-time thing. Great for the summer.
