Very nice yeast and subtle yet complex flavors. Not to heavy but definitely a full bodied beer, will definitely look for more of these for fall and summertime enjoyment.

341ml bottle, part of a broken-open 2015 Snowcase pack at my local chain liquor store outlet.
This beer pours a clear, bright medium golden yellow colour, with a teeming tower of puffy, finely foamy, and somewhat bubbly off-white head, which leaves a bit of chunky cobwebbed lace around the glass as it quickly recedes.
It smells of gritty, grainy pale and wheaty malt, zesty yeast, dried banana chips and lemon rind, and nice grassy, floral, and kind of spicy hops. The taste is bready, lightly caramelized wheat, banana pudding, overripe lemon citrus, a retreating edgy yeastiness, and more pleasantly popping leafy, floral, and wet grassy hop bitters.
The carbonation is fairly active in its prickly at times frothiness, the body a sturdy middleweight, and mostly smooth, just a wee hop and alcohol twin-axe astringency lurking about. It finishes trending sweet, as the malt and fruity esters step way up, to the detriment of the heretofore off-setting hop and spice.
Overall, not a bad version of the style, and I'm glad to see that Phillips has upped the typical ABV a bit, the better to have this one still be worthy in mid-December for those purists out there (myself included, just not for this one).
