Large shared bottle.
Some heat in the mouth but the high ABV is otherwise partly hidden.
Lightly sweet aroma.
The flavor is more bitter than sweet and more bold and rich than expected.

This delivers a huge chocolate front before it settles into a nutty, creamy and milky mid palate. It ends with caramel malt, toffee and lactose-sweetness.

Pours out black with a single finger of tight mocha colored head. Super dark and thick, looks awesome. Cocoa, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, roasted malts, dark fruit and something vegetal on the finish.

I really liked this brew. Outstanding for the style, well balanced and moderate mouth feel. Reminded me of a Russian, but less roasty and more sweet. Would absolutely trade for again.
