can with a best enjoyed by date of 4/17/21; today is 3/21
pours a slightly hazy amber-tinged gold body with an excited frothy off-white foam head that has moderately high retention and leaves a high amount of thick sticky lacing patches as it settles to a hazy murky cap with defined halo
aroma is grapefruit, pine, and a sticky syrupy sweet caramel malt. citric and floral lime and orange are in the wings
taste is mild and follows the nose. it's like sucking on a super sweet lime, chased by grapefruit juice mixed with copious amounts of brown sugar. theres a tinge in there that hits me like over sweetened blood orange. interesting
mouthfeel is moderately high carbonation with a medium-light body that still manages to feel syrupy at times, though the majority of the ride is smoothed out with only the occasional carbo prickle here and there.
overall:
this is a pretty standard IPA of the West Coast leaning variety, in that it includes a big hit of grapefruit and pine hops. overall, however, this brew leans to the sweetness rather than bitterness, which superbly docks it's West Coast intentions, in my opinion. it's almost too sweet, with very little kick back from anything resembling hoppy bitterness, which is what I personally think of when I see "West Coast" associations to the style. it's so sweet, in fact, that (as I noted earlier) it comes across as nearly syrupy, despite the smooth, pillowy carbonated nature of the overall mouthfeel.
I will acknowledge, hands down, that my general opinion on this brew is based on personal preference, whish is solidly anti-super sweet IPAs. If you dig that jazz, then you'll love this a lot more than I did. I did spring for the 6'er, and this review is after I've made my way halfway thru the pack over the course of a weekend, so I have given it time.
everything else about this brew screams "well done" and it is certainly a well made IPA. I just happen to be against the super-sweetness variety of this style.

Had this one from a can poured into a tulip glass. Pours a bright golden yellow color with a beautiful foamy head and nice lacing. This beer looks and feels great but it is lacking a bit in smell and taste. Citrus and pine flavors, but nothing well defined. A good beer, but sort of a mediocre IPA overall.

12 oz. can with an undecipherable date code, which means THEY want to know, but they don't want YOU to know.
Appearance: Hazy amber gold glass holds a solid cover of white tight foam that laces.
Aroma: Hops, mostly pine and citric, with some sweet malt coming through.
Taste: Pretty mild, there's hops, and a slight bitter bite, but not the hop bomb I was expecting given the name. Hops are slightly earthy and leafy, malt has a candy sweetness, there's a mild metallic note but it's pretty small, generally a clean taste.
Mouthfeel: Medium body, medium carbonation, frothy texture, clean finish.
Overall: It's a nice beer, I didn't really get this for "nice", I wanted a hop bomb. This falls short there, but it's a middle of the road IPA, not wildly West Coast, too many earthy hops for that. Glad I tried, but doubt I'll get more.

Looks like a typical ipa, orange/gold/amber, medium white head.
Smells outstanding, tangerines, lime, orange peel, brown sugar.
Taste is surprisingly sweet upfront, followed by citrus and a building bitterness. The caramel is enough to offset the hops so the ibu’s don’t seem too intense.
Mouthfeel is medium.
Probably the best ipa I’ve had from karbach.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance - The beer is served a crystal clear amber color with a little bit of foam on the top of the brew. The head fades away fast to leave a tiny bit of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell - The aroma is rich and delicious with lots of sweet tropical fruit s of tangerine, papaya, mango, and pineapple. Along with these smells comes lots of orange as well as some peach and melon. Other aroma of grapefruit and fruit punch are there as well giving a super rich, fruity, and inviting smell overall.
Taste - The taste begins with a mix of a fruity taste of tropical fruits and peach/apricot mixed with flavors of grapefruit hop and a touch of herb. As the taste advances other flavors of melon and some pine hop come to the tongue and in the end, with some fruity pebble like taste coming to the tongue one is left with a nice fruity hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel-The body of the brew is medium in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is average. For the fruit flavors and mix of dank and citrus hop the feel is great and makes for a nice drinker.
Overall - This is a super approached and tasty brew with a nice mix of fruit and variable hop. Definitely one to try if you have the chance!

Old school IPA, is malt and pine forward with a little nudge towards citrus. Not a bad drinking beer, but nowhere near the NEIPA that are being cranked out today. Good assertive bitterness, heavy on the malt (not as far as rodeo clown) and pretty easy drinking for 7.5
