10.14oz stubby bottle into a tulip.
Looks good in the glass. Hazy dark yellow body. Small white head fizzes away quickly, no lacing.
Strong aroma of fresh melon, seems like cantaloupe.
Mouth below medium, finish fresh and fruity.
Overall, what I've come to expect from Hokkaido, light, sweet, fresh fruit. In this case cantaloupe.

10.14oz stubby bottle (cap stamped OB1918 20.06.29) poured into a pint glass at fridge temp 5% ABV. The beer pours hazy in a soft golden amber color with nearly white head. The head recedes to a thin ring and leaves a few spots of lacing. The aroma is moderate in strength featuring sweet, ripe melon (I'm not a big melon eater, but maybe cantaloupe or honeydew). The taste is similar sweet melon, a hint of malt and no appreciable bitterness. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. No off flavors. Overall, enjoyable taste and feel.

This shall be my second of the third mentioned in my New New Trail & Feeling Light-Hearted About Happoshu Beer Sunday (Week 784). I was on a mission to fulfill some of trader @jkblr 's Wants when I realized that there were some that had hit our market that I had NOT yet tried! 8=O
From the Bottle (!): "[B]rewed with Hokkaido Dream Melons".
This time, I was ready for the pin to Pop! off of the grenade & things went much more smoothly. I transitioned into a slow, smooth, gentle C-Line pour, but I backed down & off at the end, anticipating some lees on the punt. There really was not much to speak of in the way of head - it never really developed much more than wisps. Color was an oh-so-slightly-hazy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5). Nose smelled like Honeydew Melon & I was pleasantly surprised! I spent time in Japan, but I do not recall these (Dream) melons, despite being a beast when it came to fresh fruit & vegetables. I like honeydew year-'round while watermelon is more of a Summery treat for me. Mouthfeel was thin & watery, an unfortunate aspect of the style. The taste was sweet honeydew throughout. Finish was sweet, about as sweet as I can take before shuddering with hophead withdraw. This was one of those where one was plenty for me. YMMV.

Feels like fuzzy cantaloupe juice, it’s hard to even tell that you’re drinking beer. Here in PA, a 10.4oz bottle costs $5.99 so this is a bad obsession for my wallet. Melon is Hokkaido’s best beer. Cherry, White Peach, Berry, and Apple felt a bit too fruity

300 ml brown bottle from BIC in Hiroshima.
Pours with a hazy orange-amber color and a weak, short white head. Minimal lacing.
Smells like ripe cantaloupe with a touch of baked bread.
Flavor: sweet and very fruity with ripe melon dominating everything else.
