Stubby bottle into a tulip.

Pale watery pinkish body, no head.

Excellent aroma of fresh peaches.

Taste follows the nose.

Mouth below medium, finish sweet and peachy.

Overall, probably my favorite Happoshu fruit beer from Hokkaido. All of their brews in this style are light, clean, with a great fresh fruit taste. And the 5.0abv is completely hidden.

10.14oz stubby bottle (cap stamped OB1910 20.06.26) poured into a pint glass at fridge temp 5% ABV. The beer pours hazy in a soft white peach juice color with nearly white head. The head recedes to a pencil thin ring and leaves no lacing. The aroma is moderate in strength featuring sweet, ripe peach. The taste is similar sweet white peach, a hint of malt and no appreciable bitterness. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish.
No off flavors. Overall, enjoyable taste and feel.

I am currently engaged in drinking (hopefully) refreshing fruited beers in the hopeless hope of beating the heat during the current heat wave. I spotted four stubby grenades in this series at The Beer Shoppe in Ardmore, PA & you better believe that I bought every one!

From the Bottle: "Brewed with Hokkaido Yamanashi Peach".

The cap was an unusual Pull & Pop!, kind of akin to an early pop top beer tab. No church key required. Having Pop!ped the cap off, I began a slow, gentle C-Line pour into the awaiting glass. About halfway through, I noticed that there were some lees on the punt/kick so I did an in-Bottle swirl to release them back into suspension. In the interim, it was beginning to foam nicely to form just under two fingers worth of dense, foamy, rocky, pinkish-white head with very good retention. Color was a deeply-hazy/lightly-cloudy Pinkish-Amber (SRM = N/A). Nose was VERY peachy, leaving no doubt as to what fruit was used as an adjunct in this beer! Yum. Mouthfeel was medium, but very soft on the tongue & in the mouth. The taste, while still peachy, also had a milky sweetness, like peaches & cream ice cream! Mmm. I do not eat much ice cream these days thanks to a mild lactose intolerance that I developed as grew older, but I used to love it in the Summertime. This beer evoked very pleasant memories. Boy howdy, this was a tasty brew! I was left with a peaches & cream flavor in my mouth. Finish was sweet, but just sweet enough to be palatable for me. I generally eschew sweets and sweet treats, but this was quite pleasant.

This had around a medium body with just below average carbonation. It was close to white peach juice in color
Aroma was ripe peaches, peach juice, white grapes, malt, a slight bit of floral earthiness
Taste was a little sweet but not too syrupy. It tasted like peach juice, white peach, grapes, and a little earthy
Couldn't find too much wrong g with this for a fruit beer. Sweet but not overly sugary or syrupy and the peach was very obvious in the flavor but didn't taste artificial. Would try this again
