This beer has been with me for so long that I have forgotten who sent me these wee tiny 250 ml CANs. I had to get the brewer approved in the data base, plus I wanted to get usable pictures before opening them. All is finally in readiness and away we go. This is for the second of such CANs.
From the CAN: Lots of Kanji that I CANnot read, but I will save the CAN for future reference. Aside from that - "The original Malt Liquor"; "Brewed with Hokkaido Ingredients".
The Crack & Glug actually caused me to laugh out loud! The beer was purple and the finger of fizzy head was a reddish-pink while it lasted. I have seen raspberry beers like this before, but I was not expecting it from this one. Color was a beautiful deep reddish-purple with NE-quality clarity. Nose was fruity, but odd as well. It had a distinct blueberry sweetness, but the addition of the wheat gave it a slight tang. Hmmm. Mouthfeel was kind of thin and light and the blueberries gave it an intense sweetness that would make it hard for me to want much of. It was unquestionably blueberry-driven and the wheat kind of gave it a slight tang on the finish. Wild!
