Black as night as a good stout should be but the head is a bit too pop like and disappears fast. Smells of chocolate somewhere between milk and dark chocolate with a hint of cinnamon and I think allspice. Tastes wonderful, starts with rich chocolate malt that turns to mild coffee, cinnamon and baking spices and then a mild kick of hot chili takes over taking the place of bitter hops. The transistioning could do better as the middle of the beer seems a bit too mild, and the carbonation is a bit too aggressive and not as creamy as I'd like it to be. Still, the spicy aftertaste with mild chocolate is great. This is a rare treat that I hope gets brewed again, as I am a big fan of chili stout.
