This brand new recipe is one we have been perfecting for a while. We’re pretty sure you’ll agree that it’s been worth the wait when you try it. This fluffy, hazy IPA is refreshingly lively, brimming with fruity hop aromas and boasts a soft, luscious body. Light creamy coconut aromas lead into bold, tropical fruit flavours that will transport you from these dreary days of winter to the tropical paradise you’ve been dreaming of.

Ingredients: Water; 2-Row, Spelt Malt; Oat Flakes; Cashmere, Idaho 7, Sabro, Galaxy Hops; Foggy London Yeast.

Impressive looker. Moderate head with some staying power and chunky lace. Brew is hazy and the colour of orange juice. Nose is pithy and orange. Falls down tastewise -- just unexpectedly too sweet, bordering on syrupy. Very distracting. Lots of tropical fruit flavours happening. Finishing bitterness that jars against the overall sweetness of the brew. High alcohol content neatly hidden away, but you can feel it as you go. In the end, just too unbalanced and cloyingly sweet.

This is an incredible beer. It pours a turbid orange juice and has an over ripe orange aroma with hints of mango and pineapple. It’s an incredibly smooth, very slightly dank flavour. You can taste the ABV but that adds to the appeal.

After a couple of low ABV pints (Lumbersexual and Collective Arts DDH) this is a brilliant pint. I wish I had one more.......next time.

Pours fully hazy with a tall frothy, almost meringue-looking white head. Lots of clingy lacing during drinking. I noticed a coconut pie aroma among some more usual citrus aromas. Tasting, I was surprised it really was coconut, also pineapple & some banana flavours. It really tastes like a Pina Colada IPA. There is also a character I don't know how to describe, but just call 'Badlands' because all of the delicious beers from there have this taste.

Look: Super cloudy/hazy medium yellow with notes of pale light yellow in the mix. Pours with 2 finger fluffy white head that disapates after 5 minutes leaving plenty of lacing.
Smell: Earthy with plenty of pineapple, lemons, wet grassy and maybe butter?
Taste: Pineapple up front, and plenty of tropical juice. Guava, coconut, kiwi. Around the middle a dank barn taste comes out that can't be shaken.
Feel: Thick and strong bodied.
I was hoping to love this beer, but I don't. It's dank and earthy in a way I found wholely unpleasent. The can I picked up from the LCBO wasn't refridgerated, and maybe buying a hazy IPA that had sat out of the fridge for an indefinate amound of time was my mistake. Who knows. I'm giving this a C+

This one pours pale and hazy yellow, with a foamy, small retaining head.
The nose is of hay and sunflower seeds. What the hell?
Yep, the taste is like a barn.
Not what you want in an IPA or any other beer. Even rice shows up, though it doesn't state on the can.
Very pedestrian.

Pours the colour of grapefruit juice but with a huge bubbly frothy head. The smell is grapefruit, lemon and other citrus. The taste is similar, but along with the abovementioned add fresh cut grass and guava. As I’ve said before, I prefer my beer to look like beer and not juice. Quite boozy after you breathe a few times. Overall hazy beer lovers I’m sure will really like this, for me it was ok

L: Opaque, orange-tint of brown brew with generous white head. This is one inviting looking brew.
S: Dank with loads of citrus like orange, grapefruit and papaya.
T: ZAP! Smooth, fruity blast to the palate with sweetness as opposed to dry, hop bitterness.
M: Slight oily coating on the tongue with mild dry, bitter finish.
O: Highly enjoyable brew to be recommended to friends so they will laud you as a man (or woman) of great taste.

473 ml can served cold into a weizen glass. LCBO purchase for $4.50 CDN.

Appearance - Super duper hazy, looks like orange juice. Capped with three plus fingers of dense white head, loads of spidery lacing cling to the edges of the glass too. Some sparse sediment drifts to the bottom of the glass.

Smell - Big tropical aromas, grapefruit, lemon, papaya and a little nectarine. Some floral aspects backing things up too.

Taste - Big time grapefruit and lemon, hints of papaya, coconut, a touch of sharpness from the booze.

Mouthfeel - Medium-thick bodied, carbonation is moderate but plays well with the flavors. A touch of astringency to cap things off and juicy but finishes a touch dry right at the end.

Overall - Drinks like a bigger beer than it is, but really good stuff, loads of tropical flavors, definitely juicy and the coconut adds a little extra complexity. Really good stuff from one of my favorites in Ontario. Sawdust City might not be the "best" brewery in Ontario, but it is a brewery that routinely puts out high quality product and beers that are among the best in their class locally. Everyday Magic is no different.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Apr 8 2020 and served slightly chilled.

Pours so turbid and cloudy that it's almost functionally opaque; its body is a muddied goldenrod colour, and it starts off with half a finger of loose, foamy white head that settles off within the next two or three minutes. A tight collar of creamy froth is left behind, clinging to the edge beneath an even coat of lovely lace. Fragrant, juicy nose, with plenty of citrusy grapefruit, mandarin orange and lime coming through, as well as notes of mango, melon, pineapple and peach. It's hard to sniff this and resist the urge to take a sip; a sure sign of a great aroma.

A solid hazy IPA with plenty of tropical fruit flavour - I'm getting lots of melon and mango, accompanied by notes of passion fruit, pineapple, peach, mandarin orange, grapefruit and even a hint of coconut. Pithy citrus and a touch of resiny, floral hops join the fray towards the back end; the aftertaste consists of lingering tropical fruit and coconut with low bitterness. Medium-full in body, with middling carbonation levels that gently brush against the palate, resulting in a soft, smooth, slightly frothy mouthfeel. Fairly drinkable even at nearly 7%; I could do two of these in a row, but after that I'd need to move on to something lighter, like a pale lager.

Final Grade: 4.16, a very respectable A-. I've reviewed so many new hazy IPAs this year that they're honestly starting to blur together for me - it seems that good ones are a dime a dozen, while the great ones are considerably more rare. Everyday Magic is a bit closer to the latter vs. the former - though as much as I loved the smell of this one, there's something in the flavour profile (that touch of coconut?) that I'm not a big fan of. Mind you, there's no actual coconut in this beer (i.e. whatever I'm sensing is hop-derived), but there's enough here to potentially bother folks who aren't partial to that flavour. Personal preferences aside, I'd still highly recommend this - I'll return to it again for sure, though I think Lone Pine remains my go-to as far as this brewery is concerned.
