473 mL can from Superstore; dated May 19 2021 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a hazy, translucent pale yellow, generating a full inch of soapy, foamy white head that wilts at a steady pace. Within five minutes, I'm left with a bubbly collar of froth and a thin cap, with an arcing band of lacing also deposited - looks good to me. Smells like a lacto sour on the nose - I'm getting lemon, grainy pale malts, red grapefruit and apricot, with surprisingly subtle mint and lime. Don't get me wrong: they're there, they just don't 'pop' in the way I'd assume they would in a mojito beer.
I was surprised to find out that it's actually not very sour at all - a little tart maybe, but not especially so. Grainy pale malts form the backbone, with notes of lime zest, lemon, stone fruit and herbal, pithy hop bitterness layered atop. The mint presence is minimal IMO, showing up mostly in the aftertaste, which is an odd mix of tart, bitter/hoppy, fruity, mild lacto sourness and mintiness. I'm not crazy about it, but it works. Medium in body, with moderate carbonation that gently prickles the palate, with a smooth, satisfying mouthfeel; the alcohol is on the precipice of being noticeable. Not especially drinkable - one can is fine, but after that I'd want to move on to something else.
Final Grade: 3.79, a B+. Tropical Storm Mojito just didn't connect with me - I wouldn't say it's a bad beer or anything, but I'm also not sure that it really accomplished what it set out to do. In pure IPA terms it's not great, and the mojito aspects don't have any 'wow' factor either. Yeah, it's got some fruity hop flavours, and sure, you can taste the lime and mint, but why am I paying just short of $5 a can for this, again? I do love Sawdust City, and they've hit more than a few home runs over the years, but this isn't one of them.

473 ml can served cold into a pint chalice. LCBO purchase for around $4.50 CDN. Canning date of February 11, 2021.
Appearance - Hazy pale golden brew with two fingers of loose white head on top. Respectable staying power and a nice curtain of lacing is left behind.
Smell - Mint for sure and hints of lime throughout. Other citrus interspersed.
Taste - Very much like a mojito. Lime and mint most prominent with lime being the true start is there needs the citrus influence to make this an IPA. Some wheaty aspects linger in the background.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, booze is semi-present in the back of the throat, carbonation is medium-light.
Overall - A great example of a mixed drink turned beer. Not for everyone and probably not one I'd enjoy more than two of in a go, but the flavor combination and feel are so so good with just enough hoppy bitterness to make this a true IPA.
