473 ml can from the Impulse Buy pack from Sawdust City at the LCBO. Works out to $4.25 CDN for a can. Canned September 1, 2021.
Appearance - Super hazy rich peach colored brew. A finger of so of fluffy white head is poured and recedes fairly quickly. Small soapy bubbles linger on after the initial head fades. Spotty lacing at the edges.
Smell - Peach mostly with a little sprinkle of lemon and orange. Passionfruit also seem to be present, but at least while cold the nose is very muted.
Taste - Peach, with some orange bitterness, followed by a bit a booze. Cantaloupe shows here as well kind of being an underlying flavor that ties everything together. Not as intensely flavorful as one might expect for a strong IPA. Pretty tasty, just less intense than expected. Flavor does become more robust as the beer warms, much to my delight.
Mouthfeel - Smooth and fairly full bodied, with modest carbonation and a juicy feel.
Overall - A good DIPA, but maybe not a great one as the flavor and aroma, two things that make IPA's as great as they are are rather muted here. Definitely worthy of being in a mixed pack, but maybe not quite the standout I was hoping for given the pedigree of Sawdust City.

473 mL can from the LCBO, one of two new brews included in Sawdust City's Impulse Buy IPA mixed pack; dated Sep 1 2021 and served barely chilled. That label font is giving me School House Rock flashbacks.
Pours turbid and cloudy, rife with flecks of sediment that gradually settle to the bottom of the glass; situated atop is one inch of foamy, soapy white head that lasts for ninety seconds or so. By that point, it's whittled down to a tight collar and filmy cap, with a few splotches of lace tossed about as well. Mildly aromatic for a DIPA - there's hints of honeydew, stone fruit, grapefruit and passion fruit, with a grassy, floral hop note also coming through. Maybe a touch of boozy sweetness, but it's faint.
A flavourful strong IPA, with emphasis on 'strong' as it's quite warming (9% notwithstanding). I'm getting cantaloupe and honeydew, with hints of apricot, orange, grapefruit and passion fruit also popping up from time to time. Notes of earthy, floral hops and some resiny bitterness are present nearer the tail end of the sip, which features a little bit of boozy heat and orchard fruit sweetness lingering into a mildly astringent, acidic aftertaste. Full in body, with moderate carbonation that lends some prickliness to this brew's smooth, pillowy, juicy mouthfeel. Drinkability isn't great, but given the style I am ok with that.
Final Grade: 3.92, a B+. Super Juicin' didn't quite meet my lofty expectations. Hear me out: I've heard that regular strength Juicin' (which I have not yet tried) is very highly rated amongst Canadian IPAs, and I am personally a big fan of Sawdust City's work, but this DIPA sadly did not leave much of an impression on me. I mean, it's still good, and drinkable enough to where I can finish the glass without a fuss, but the hop profile doesn't stand out from the crowd IMO. Also, the alcohol isn't especially well integrated, and there's some hop acid burn, but my palate adjusted to both of these by the halfway point. Don't take my word for it though, try this one for yourself and see what you think.
