330 ml bottle. Brewed by Straffe Hendrick, Liefmans Breweries, Dentergem, Belgium. Best before July 2007.
A- Dark brown/red with orange/tan head. Good head that sticks to glass. Leaves lace and foam ring as I drink.
S- Pleasant beery smell. Sweet malts. Faint berry notesthat become strong as it warms.
T- Pleasant sweet malty flavour. Yeast in background. No real bitterness at first. Some hops settles is as I progress.
MF- A little watery and fizzy, sort of softdrinkisk. Stcky-sweet.
D- Nice drinking but let down by sub-par mouthfeel and somewhat unbalanced sweet flavour.

Even though it says rousse (red) on the bottle it seems more like a dark brown beer. When pourred into glass, small head is formed but disapear too quickly. Very sweet taste, almost like tasting natural sugar cane and end with a sour aftertaste. Very different (hearty) beer.

An interesting Belgian brew, from a brewer that I quite like. Aquired via a friend in Quebec, as this is not available in the states as of yet. This is a dark red brew with a nice off-white head of foam. Aromas are the classic oud red aromas of cherries, lambic funk, buttery malts (this is very cherry/raspberry cheesecake like at times). The taste is very buttery, malty, and fruity...very, very nice. The mouthfeel is creamy and full and the drinkability is excellent. I recommend this one highly to all Belgian red fans, please bring this to the states...somebody
