Galaxy Saison

a tasty and well made beer, but awfully boring for both of the words in its title. i know saison isnt their thing, but this has a very mild belgian type strain, maybe a prickle of french saison yeast, but its not yeast driven in the least, and is in fact so mild that its really missing. not asking for brett or anything, but you have to put a little something else into it than this, just odd to call this a saison. as for the galaxy, its an awesome hop thats now come to prominence because an incredibly unique set of properties and characteristics. you can tell its galaxy in the nose, obviously this was dry hopped pretty well, but its not there as much in the taste, so you end up sort of looking for both the primary elements, which makes is a little frustrating. the grain base is nice, has a big fluffy feel and fresh cereal taste to it, and a really dry clean finish, which i think helps redeem it. summery and light, refreshing and not quite like anything ive had, but still disappointing in its relative lack of flavor. nothing off, just under done. meh to meh plus.
