cool collaboration with nola here, its a strong pils, short of imperial, but sturdy for sure, and its hopped robustly with sorachi ace, so its really good. frankly one of the best beers i have had from these guys in way too long. its frothy and creamy feeling, not showing a trace of its booze, and having a robust clean fresh summery pilsener malt base thats really a nice platform for these lemon cream sorachi ace hops that make this really a pretty distinctive brew. lemon and lime and lemongrass and even tangerine all from the hops, with the soapy textured base beer keeping stride the whole way. it falls apart when it warms up, but thats not a problem because this is a real crusher for me. best when ice cold, its nice and full bodied, almost rich despite being dry, and the hop profile is absolute magic. i dont know why these guys dont put out more of their cool beers on any kind of scale. their core brands are so tired, it seems like a release like this would really give them a shot of life (and some needed props from the beer nerds). this is awesome pilsener, i wish i had more than one can. good incorporation of a delicious and tricky hop, perfect for hot weather pre-concert slamming!

12 oz can. Pours clean straw gold with finger white bubbly head, leaves coating lace. Light cracker malt aroma with lemon peel hop presence. Clean crisp pilsner flavor with peppery lemony bitter hops. Herbal grassy notes come out in the end. Medium soft mouthfeel. Was surprised by this one, not usually a big pilsner fan but this was very good.

12oz can poured into a tulip glass. Canned on 03/31/16.
Appearance: Pours a straw gold with slight haze and 1 finger of head leaving ample lace.
Smell: Grain and biscuit with plenty for floral and herbal hop aroma
Taste: Cracker up front with earthy bitterness from the hops; fresh-cut grass in the finish with some cracked pepper
Mouthfeel: Full-bodied with a little resin in the finsh
Overall: A nice beer but falls in the category of beers that are: too strong to be crushable, yet too weak as a sipper. Just my opinion and how I feel about most "imperial" pilsners.

Pours a crystal clear hay colored gold with a white head. It looks thin but has a good body to back it up. Very crisp and clean with a medium hop profile. Good balance. Could crush a bunch of these.
