Was at Oskar Blues last weekend and brought home a mini keg of this. Oh what fun!

A- I think I expected this to be less hazy. Really yellow blond and cloudy. Big white head that leaves behind a lace.

S - I get the banana and clove. Maybe some light citrus sweet.

T - Sweet, I think banana. Some spice. Not like the wheats I've had before.

M - Light and refreshing. Light mouth feel. Really easy to drink, and flavor full.

D - A nice summer drink. Very refreshing. Would be great for a hot day... Tho it just rained and cooled off. Glad I have more to help tomorrow's heat

Had this @ OB in Lyons.
Arrives a pretty light color for a German Hefeweizen. Reminds me a little more of a Witbier. Kind of a light straw yellow, but it's cloudy in an even way, much again like a wit.
Bananas and cloves are in full effect, with a little spice following in the finish...hence the name. Pretty authentic overall, and I like that little yeasty spice kick at the end. It's not huge, but if you know it's there, you can't miss it.
It's pretty thin for a hefe, although for a summer day in Colorado, this is actually a really good thing. I get the feeling it was intentional to keep it easy drinking.
Not bad at all. Since I drove I really didn't have much option to have several, but I certainly would've liked to.
Not a bad hefe at all, and it's got just enough things unique to it that keep it from being old hat.

Draught @ Oskar Blues. Cloudy yellow with a small head of foam. Nose is nice with the typical weiss notes of banana, clove and dough. Flavor is big on clove and spice, with lots of taste. Well balanced and it goes down easy, lol. It's a nice wheat ale.
