You can play boundary-pushing flavor games all you like but you should never turn your back on fundamentals. HopPun is born of playing with the most straightforward of beers- the hoppy American Pale. We push around experimental hops 06300 and HBC342 with Super Galena and Mosaic, soften the edges with a traditional pale malt bill and then tie it all together with the fruity esters of British yeast. Look for the tutti-frutti/berry side of modern hop aromatics in a pleasant drinking straightforward Pale. Drink HopPun and keep the chops sharp.

16 oz. Can
Journey Began: 03/10/17

Poured into a Tired Hands glass a very nice cloudy dark golden yellow color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy two-finger plus off-white head, which leaves some very nice thick/creamy sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, with some malt notes, very nice citrus note. The taste is very nice, hoppy, malty, with some nice citrus. Medium body, with a nice bitter/dry finish. Overall, another very tasty brew from Carton. Always a joy to drink them. Thanks Arthur!

Hoppy citrus oriented beer which pours a light reddish color with an ample head. Good crispness and ample hops but not too bitter for an IPA brew. Solid.

A: The beer is clear yellowish amber in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high off white head that faded away, leaving lots of specks of bubbles on the surface and a minuscule ring of bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of citrusy hops—oranges stand out in particular—are present in the nose along with hints of caramel and toasted malts.
T: The taste has flavors of citrusy hops along with strong notes of biscuit and toasted malts. There is a light to moderate amount to of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and quite crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This APA starts out very hoppy and then balances itself out with the malts as the beer begins to warm up.

Pours slightly hazy, orange in color with one inch head. Taste is pale malt, toffee, and light orange rind. Medium bodied, bitter, with moderate carbonation. Makes for an above average, tasty pale. Well worth a shot.
