077XX is our double IPA focused on harmonizing the extremes inherent in the nature of an American double IPA for long term drinkability. The 077-10990 is the dubviant tuned up with a third Chinook exclusive dry hop inspired by the places that get it in Warwick. Chinook sprinkles Dub’s mix of dank resins and tropical fruit with a scosche of spicy pine & grapefruit. Drink 077-10990 when what you got is perfect but would be perfecter with a touch of spice.

Pours a straw color with a lightly misty transparency. Transparency gets stirred up to a light fogginess after the last couple ounces are poured into the glass. Head is two fingers of white foam that retains well. Aroma is pine, citrus, spicy, tropical fruits, and nutty, bready, caramely malts. Flavor profile is smooth caramel, bready, nutty malts with pine, citrus and spicy hops layered over the top. Malts open up with hops forming a crescendo and finishing big at the end of the flavor profile. It doesn't immediately come off as juicy, but leaves lingering juicy notes. Balance is great, with the hops and malts both getting their own separate moment to shine. Mouth feel is medium, with a light grainy texture which adds to the experience. Overall, a fantastic IPA that dynamically balances some unique hop notes with familiar hop notes, all the while, striking a balance between hops and malts.

Canned 1/26/2018. Poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass. It pours a hazy, golden-honey color with more than a finger of fluffy, bright-white head and long-lasting, soapy lacing. A somewhat subdued aroma of lemon, grapefruit, pine, malt, and floral hops. It's dank and very bitter with loads of pine needles and biting Chinook hops. In fact, I think it may be the most bitter of the Dubviants. At three weeks old it's very hoppy but I can also taste a strong malt presence. While there's a hint of citrus, this is not a fruity DIPA. I wish I had this fresh and I'll try to do so the next time it's released. Overall, like all Dubviants it's an excellent DIPA but I prefer some of the others especially Mosaic, Apollo, and Nelson.

This is my first variant. It tastes like regular 077XX but more dank and very weedy. A little too weedy for me. It's good and tasty but that herbal catty dankness becomes overpowering. nb

Thrilled to be the 1st review of this best of ODub: Chinook. 10990 being the pretty country north of NJ near New Milford & Warwick NY. I raise a glass to Suzanne Palmer Smiga tonight.
Another god nectar. Fresh on tap at the tasting room in 07716 on 2-3-18.
a_ Mostly clear but for wisp of chill haze, o-dub gold, with fervent head that laces well. 4.2
S_ Ample aroma of that nor'west, pine, chill salt air of Chinook. Along with ample fruit and malt and spice.. 3.7
T_ The sweetest, most nectar like of o-dubs. More, bigger juicier pine and spice over dank juicy, hempy hops. 4.5
F_ good nectar like body with low carbonation. 4.2
O_ could be my favorite Odub.
BACK at BREWER this beer does not disappoint!
