If it ain't broke, don’t fix it. We all know that, and we all love a dignified light sour that has fruit tones hidden through it. Yet here we go lacing more wrinkles of interesting through our simplest sour. Tak is a Highlander Weiss that has pickled cherries blended through and fermented out. Short little passes of licorice, star anise and cinnamon hiding under cherries that are barely there, working as a comfortable team toward the goal of complex quaff-ability. Drink Tak because the right amount is best.

Carton Brewing Co. "TAK"
16 fl. oz. can, "CANNED ON 2/14/19" and sampled on 06/30/2019
$4.50 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ
Look: Clear yellow gold body beneath a short head of white that fades readily and leaves little lacing behind.
Smell: Mildly fruity with a suggestion of tartness.
Taste: Moderately sour with a clear note of cherry and some grainy malt. Dry, mildly acidic, and subtly spicy finish.
Feel: Medium-light in body and crisp with a combination of carbonation and acidity.
Overall: A pleasant enough sour beer that shows no off flavors from fermentation and adds some welcome cherry flavor.

A very light sour. Bright and golden in the glass, as per a classic Wheat beer. Found complexity in the taste, kind of sweet and sour at once, but vaguely unpleasant.

On to something with this sours,
Thrilled to be the 1st reviewer.
The strength of this light ABV brew is intense for little 3.9% ABV.
a) thin light cloud of yellow amber body with thin head by constant rim.
s) Wine-like, sauvignon blanc, dry, spirited, gin and juniper.
t) More, ample, and probably really healthy, but all the above in a powerful fistful of herbs and winter-summery sunshine.
f) Light, astringent, cleansing, scrubbing.
o) Beats any other weisse beer I've tried, so you try it too!

Pours a very clear light straw color with a tinge of red, minimal head. Has a light funky aroma, typical of a Gose, faint cherry. Has a nice flavor - sour cherry is prominent but not overpowering. Has a lingering sour cherry finish. Fairly medium bodied for a sub 4% beer, good carbonation. Overall a good Berliner Weiss, love the low abv, cherry finish isn’t my favorite.
