AUTOHUMED WITH ENIGMA

It doesn’t matter what we brew
as long as we mix wheat and citra
That makes us feel we’ll convey some juicy notes or fruit impression
To confuse the issue we will add
Some pleasant yeast, from far away
Plus some Vic Secret for good measure
No matter how much we resist the bend
Some dry-hopping causes our resolve to break
Because the hops bring us back
On that we can rely
The hops bring us back

Pours an opaque deep apricot color with a smallish off white creamy head. Smell is indistinct fruits and hops. Carton calls this an Imperial Pale Ale, not an imperial IPA, Imperial not to be confused with Indian. Taste juicy hops, yeast. Feels quite disappointing. Quite viscous and grainy feel. Not summer refreshing when something is too thick. Overall I concur with the other reviewer who loved the "Hook" and not so much this one. I am not sure what this beer is supposed to be. Not so good, drinkable for sure, definitely not a drain pour . It seems for some reason the higher ABV lost all of the special taste nuances the original Hook had- The berries, the sweetness, etc..

At my home town brewer which possesses lovely hard water and nestles within a seaside town inside Sandy Hook (itself an enigma)
Pleased to be first review of this tasted yesterday near the Solstice 2019.
I love the Hook but did not love this one.

Seems over done.
a) Deep murk, spoon could stand up in it, yet not much head.
s) Got the notes of citra, vic and wheat... odd yeast...
t) Follows nose but tasted muddy.
f) As fitting the wheat load it's a murky almost oatmeal, grainy feel.
o) Love the Hook. Turned up my nose at Hook Enigma,
