This beer is a good example when experimenting goes too far. On the label it says coffee where hope would have gone. Should have kept the coffee in the mug on this one. The coffee adds too much coffee flavor to the classic doppelbock notes. Thumbs down on this one.

1st Review. Bought fresh at brewer today 3-16-21, St Pats eve.
a) Pale black coffee body with crema like head, dotty lace.
s) Drink fresh. Licorice, cherry, pecan pie notes on the nose, fresh like entering brewer roasting company great room.
t) Follows aroma, adds more pecan, cherry, balanced, cherry in finish.
f) silky, savory.
o) You gotta watch Augie Carton share the craft story in collaboration with local roaster FairMountain: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zh9ptNf6f7g.
