Interesting beer. I don’t have too much experience with smoked beers. I’ve had a few. This on pours almost clear, pale orange. Has that slightly smoky aroma. Taste has a bit of funk, a bit of spice and then smoke. I like it.

Canning date obstructed, all I csn is the word “meow”. Interesting
So this is just marketed as a regular old smoked lager, I’m assuming it’ll be similar to the Schlenkerla Helles where it’s a Helles Lager first and a Smoked Beer second, or something to that effect. Let’s get into it
Pours a lightly cloudy deep gold woth 2 fingers of white head that fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing
Ok, this is definitely in the direction I was thinking, a decent amount of smoke on the nose. I’m picking up on aromas of beechwood smoke, doughy malt, floral hops, charred oak, light toffee, and a touch of toast
Definitely not as light as expected smoke-wise in taste, the swallow is basically a campfire. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting doughy malt, beechwood smoke, white pepper, lemon rind, light honey, and toast. The swallow brings notes of charred oak smoke, burnt toast, bready malt, toasted grain, floral hops, and light pepper. I never said a campfire was a bad thing
A light medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a crisp smoky beer. Finishes very dry with a very subtle sweetness for balance
Well it’s not exactly what I was expecting, but it is pretty good for what it is. I certainly don’t mind having another 3 of these to get through

"Wanna smoke a beer?" asks the label of this smoked rustic lager. It's so far out in the country offering dense wood fire smoke along with a pack of smokers of backwoods and coyote twisted cigars in smokey, sweaty working flannels and carhardts. But the smoke forces you to sip slowly and enjoy and lean into a long slow set of small draws.
Be sure to aerate.
a) Pours clear crystal body with thin head that lens a skinny rim only.
f) cidery, astringent, bright mouth feel.
o) really interesting w ripe and stinky cheeses, smoked fish, olives.
