I really like these SWISHR beers, despite none of them actually reminding me of weed. This one is super dark, like a stout. Smells sweet, like honey. Don’t get much of the smoky, rauchbier character, but a lot of malty, honey character. While it doesn’t remind me of being high, it definitely seems like a beer I would’ve enjoyed while BEING high.

Beautiful pouring beer, dark dark brown slowly forming dense light brown head that lingers for a long time. Lots of splotchy lacing.
Nose is a really nice and balanced combo of smoke, roast bordering or burnt, cocoa, then dank and piney hops.
Taste is big and bold but again, like the nose so nicely balanced. Big hit of old school hoppiness, a lingering burnt roast, little bit of smoke, and then the hops come back again and linger on the tongue, in a subtle grapefruit like way.
Medium body, creamy and soft carbonation, bitter on two fronts; hops and roast driven. Semi dry finish and semi resiny hop feel on the finish; along with a honey like twang.
What a cool beer each year. In your face yet very balanced. A great variant this year!

Pours black with some mahogany notes on the edges and a creamy tan head that sticks around for a while. The nose is SMOKY - like sitting around a campfire smoky as the wood gets a really nice ash, and there’s a bit of honey sweetness as well.
The taste is smoky malts and more smoky malts - but before it gets to Cloyingville, there’s a big slug of hop flavors that present on my palate as delicious resiny pine, and some sweetness from the honey, which fits this beer really well. Wow, is this delicious.
The mouthfeel is medium and edges toward creamy. This is a fun, frolicking ride that I’d try again and again. Fantastic stuff.

1st Review. Honey was just what Swisher needed. Honey may be on the best add-ins for beer. Smoke beer.
a) Purrs smooth and dark as stout with ample tan lace and last.
s) wood char, tobacco, wood fire.
t) Follows aroma, but the honey body kicks in.
f) bright for a dark smoke beer, bitter in finale.
o) This smoke beer with honey works. Extra points for originality.
