Canned 9/21/22
Alright, time for some more from Carton. I recently stopped in on my trip to NJ and Philly and was recommended this one by the bartender. She actually ended up giving me a sample, and it was indeed damn good, so I just had to take some to go. Let’s crack it open and give it a proper review
Pours a hazy pale gold with 3 fingers of creamy off white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves decent lacing
This is quite unique for the style in the nose, with a different set of fruity notes. I’m picking up on aromas of lychee, underripe mango, crackery malt, papaya, floral hops, apple skin, pineapple juice, and light white pepper
Oh man, it’s just straight up delicious in taste. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting pineapple juice, orange zest, lychee, bready malt, floral hops, white grape, and light grass. The swallow brings notes of orange juice, lychee, underripe mango, crackery malt, floral hops, white pepper, light grapefruit zest, and papaya
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a smooth yet crisp beer. Finishes neutral with a nice balanced bitterness
Wow, this is damn good, probably the best I’ve had from Carton to date. I don’t really think of them as a NEIPA/NEPA brewery, but I definitely think I’ll start trying more of those offerings from them when I visit

1st review. At brewer, upon release. Brought home several for dinner.
Wedge works. The full fruit salad with pear, watermelon, peach, grapefruit, pineapple.
a) As expected hazed, ascending massive lase and lasting head.
s) Noticeable pear feature above the other fruits.
t) Adds bitter, peppery finale.
f) clean, fresh, bright.
o) Among the best wedge issues.
