Imperial Cream Ale with Coffee.
From 08/07/13 notes. Had this on tap at Stag's Head in NYC and loved it.
a - Pours a hazy, light orange-amber color with one inch of off white head and low carbonation evident.
s - Smells of coffee grinds, bready malts, toasted malts, espresso, cream, and roasted malts. Really nice nose with lots of vanilla/cream and coffee.
t - Tastes of way more fresh coffee grinds than the nose, chocolate, bready malts, espresso, toasted malts, roasted malts, and vanilla. Awesome, even better than the nose. More chocolate, coffee, and vanilla.
m - Medium body and low carbonation. Body is again, super smooth and creamy, like their other cream ale. Great mouthfeel.
o - Overall a great and interesting beer from Carton. Definitely their best non-hoppy beer and maybe their best beer overall. Tons of coffee throughout it, and nice vanill and chocolate in the taste. Great mouthfeel, really hoping they make this one again.
