473 mL can from the LCBO; coded Oct 3 2024 and served barely chilled. Now labelled as Junction Session IPA.
Pours hazy and translucent, its blonde yellow-hued body topped with one finger of tight, foamy white head that lasts for three or four minutes. A narrow, even ring of lace adheres to the glass, with a thin collar and filmy cap lasting on - looks fine so far. Fruity aroma, with hints of grapefruit juice, mandarin orange, peach and cantaloupe, as well as hints of bubblegum and lychee. Rather aromatic for a light IPA.
A pleasant, light & fruity hop-forward pale ale. I'm detecting flavours of cantaloupe, pineapple and apricot, supported by citrusy notes of grapefruit and tangerine. A little bit of mango, too, concluding with a flash of earthy, floral hop bitterness; tropical fruits linger briefly into the aftertaste, which trends dry. Light in body, with average carbonation that softly prickles the tongue with each sip; the mouthfeel is smooth and juicy. Superb sessionability - I could drink this all night and I don't think it'd get tiresome.
Final Grade: 3.95, a B+. Junction has been pretty quiet for the last few years, but it's good to see that they're still producing quality brews, like this Session IPA, for example. In the past, I have been vocal with regards to my disinterest in this substyle, but every once in a while I'll stumble across a session IPA gem that reminds me why I continue to give these light pale ales a chance. This is one of those - its fruity hop flavours and aromas are more impressive than I've come to expect from such a light ale. Good stuff, definitely recommended: try it if you can find it.

Light yellow hazy in appearance. I’ve poured thousands of beers into glasses, but the head on this one was soooo much I had to keep pausing for it to settle down. Too much in my opinion. Very high carbonation level. Subtle citrus flavours and a hoppy background are quite nice.
