Copenhagen 16/11 2021. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Drawing of a Christmas tree being struck by lightning. Encouraging.
Pours clear dark amber with a small white head. Settles as thin, flimsy remnants of foam. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet fruitiness mingling with a bit of Christmas Candy. Sweet cherry wine, sugar. Caramel and toffee. A sourish sharp edge looming discretely in the background.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong sourness. Aftertaste is sourish and a bit tart. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Decent take on a festive Christmas beer with a touch of cherries which does not seem to be overly artificial.
