Brewed with Centennial and Citra hops, this brew is delicious and soft with notes of pine, grapefruit, and melon.

Looks quite magnificent. Pleasantly fruity, hoppy nose. Hop forward, but not insanely aggressive. Sweet up front, finishing hoppy and bitter. Drinkable.

At Craft Heads on University Ave. West in nearby downtown Windsor; on tap and chilled, in a flight of four beers. My second beer from the Toronto, ON brewery.

I got a tall boy can of this beer from the LCBO store in Red Lake, Ontario whilst up there dropping my son off for two week hockey excursion. It poured a slightly hazy golden with thin white ring head that is leaving some lace. The scent had bold bitter hop notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with crisp malt base and bitter hop presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

can from the govt. dairy bar: Pours a pale hazed gold with a retentive 2 finger white cap...aromas of boiled grains, herbs, floral and some fruity notes.....rounded well-conditioned character, smooth soft mouth feel...flavor profile is uncomplicated but balanced...big chew of malty grains balanced with some herbal bittering hops...finishes clean and increasingly bitter....quenching, satisfying, a good pale ale for sessioning.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Jun 19 2023 and served slightly chilled.

Pours a hazy, translucent golden-yellow colour with some clumpy sediment that settles out slowly; seated atop is nearly two fingers of soapy, foamy white head that lasts for the better part of five minutes. A beautiful coat of delicate lace adheres to the glass, with a sudsy cap and collar living on - looks amazing so far. Lemon peel, grapefruit and floral hops on the nose, with hints of honeydew melon, lychee and mango.

The flavours follow the aroma - heavy on the citrus, with grapefruit, orange & lemon peel coming through clearly; there're also hints of stone fruit, mango and melon, backed by doughy, wheaty malts. Quite floral later on, concluding with citrus pith and piney bitterness that dissipates into a mildly warming aftertaste. Medium in body, with lively carbonation that feels prickly on the tongue, adding some crispness to this hazy pale ale's smooth, pillowy-soft mouthfeel. I found this to be extraordinarily drinkable for 6.7%.

Final Grade: 4.03, an A-. Tarana-Saurus is one of the better Ontario IPAs you can find at the LCBO, but at the same time, it doesn't strike me as an especially creative or unique effort. Citra and Centennial hops have both been done to death, but this is an example of them being used highly effectively, and the final product is just an undeniably damn good IPA. I think I prefer their Instigator, but at the end of the day they're both great hop-forward ales and I'd be near-equally satisfied with either one. Cheers!

473ml can served cold into a pint glass. Canned June 19, 2023.

Appearance - Hazy yellowy gold color with honey brown highlights. a Couple of fingers of frothy white head on top.

Smell - Big tropical notes, some grapefruit, passionfruit and especially mango.

Taste - Medium bitterness, grapefruit, lemon and some mango in the aftertaste, not quite as fruity as expected.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, sort of creamy, with enough fizziness, palate sticking flavor in the aftertaste.

Overall - Pretty solid NEIPA. Well worth a try.

Pours glowing peach with a frothy, everlasting head that drapes the glass in lace. Citrusy, tropical hops and doughy malts in the nose. Orange and lemon in abundance in the first sip. Mango, apricot, floral hops in there as well. fresh bread wheat malts for lots of balance. The mouthfeel is full bodied with moderate carbonation, High bitterness and plenty of citrus in the long finish,

A nice, balanced IPA with a pronounced orange, tropical hop profile and prominent malts. Worth a try.
