On tap at the brewpub. A 'coconut-raspberry island saison,' served in a tulip of sorts.
Reddish orange, hazy body with a white head. OK retention and light lacing. Nose of raspberry juice, sharp wheat and some general saison-y yeast notes. Coconut is difficult to pick up here. Taste has more raspberry and cranberry juice, more wheat, grains, light spicing and again, I'm hard pressed to detect much coconut. Light tartness, mild effervescence on a lighter medium body. An alright pint, but I wouldn't have this again.

Bar Hop One Year Anniversary party. Lots of lace in this one, on ablond body. Yeasty, farmhouse yeast significant. Chocolate and orange taste, with some hops, and somewhat astringent finish. Me, who abhors coconut, didn't get that much coconut out of it.
