Pours a light lemon yellow. Looks a bit cloudy. No head. lots of visible carbonation bubbles.
Smell is mango and malts. Funny how the popping carb bubbles tickle the nose. Also picking up a hint of mustiness. Like a really ripe mango.
Taste is prevalent on the mango. Like light fizzy mango on the front and than mid mouth builds to a more smoother heavier sweet mango. Towards the back the mango is just drifting away. Picking up some malts towards the middle of the mouth as well.
The feel is really fizzy up front like a seltzer and mid mouth turns into something with more body and than crackles in the throat going down leaving a dry finish.
This is really a one note beer with that note being mango. This is like pure mango focus. Not a bad thing just not much flavor complexity. However that mouth feel is very unique. That fizzy start that builds to a more creamy middle and than a sizzling drop down the throat. and an almost completely dry finish. As I drink more there is just a slight coating of the sweetness in the back of the throat. Scary how easy this is to drink as the ABV does carry a bit of a higher note at 6.5%. I like this creation and have had several good beers from Golden Road. A lot of them being mango focused. I think the owner of the company loves mango!
