Consumed December 28, 2011 at the brewery.
This beer is a dark honey colored brew. Somewhat cloudy. A one finger off-white head provides very good sheeting on the glass sides.
The aroma is cinnamon, cinnamon and cinnamon (in that order).
Flavor is cinnamon, cinnamon, a touch of spicy honey and cinnamon. Disagreeable aspirin bitterness on the finish.
Mouthfeel is a little on the thin side with adequate carbonation.
Drinkability? I couldn't finish the glass. Too much cinnamon.

On tap at Blue Palms Brewhouse in Los Angeles, CA as part of their Jingle Bell Jubilee.
Pours a murky honey orange with a 1/2 inch off-white head that fades to nothing. No lacing on this beer. Smell is of cinnamon sticks, cinnamon powder, other spices, and tea leaf. Taste is of malt, cinnamon sticks/powder, other spices, and steeped tea leaf. There is a very bitter and spicy aftertaste on this one. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a smooth mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good bitter that is very spicy and reminds me somewhat of canela/herbal tea.
