Served on-tap in a 12 oz pint glass:
Appeared a nice deep golden color, almost looked hazy at times, with a nice light white head that had adequate retention that resolved into a very this cap. The beer was probably too dark for the style...but I am going to let it slide as the beer looked appetizing.
Light malt aroma, probably lighter than expected, but overall a nice scent.
The taste is really good with a heavier malt taste than expected, but balanced nicely with some light hops.
The beer is light, smooth and so easy to drink it should be a crime.

Yeah, what Domingo said, 'Helles'? Well, I'll leave that to the brewmaster to label it. It was bright, but a deeper golden than expected. No biggy, though. Pretty good head and lacing was filmy with some stickiness to it. It tastes like a pilsener as far as hoppiness and spice, not too much but it has that slight bight to it. The old sock taste I get (I'm sure it's just me) with most lagers is there, but it's at the end and not too strong. Just right IMO.
It drank well.
I paired it with Shepard's Pie. it worked, but not the best pairing, but they were both good.

While this is listed as a helles, it's stylistically pretty different.
Arrives a pretty deep golden color with a little bit of head. Since it's served in pint glasses, I don't expect a giant rocky head, so that's no big deal. Still, it's definitely too dark for a helles bier.
Smells pretty malty. Hops are there, but they're reserved. No problems on this end.
The flavor is malt forward, but it doesn't really have the helles flavor. Reminds me a little of Full Sail LTD items. Caramel and toffee maltiness moreso than husky grains. It's not bad for what it is, but it has a little too much heat and more of an amber sweetness. It's closer to a mild bock or maybe a Vienna. Finish is pretty clean.
Mouthfeel's fine and it's definitely drinkable.
It's actually a pretty good beer, but it's just not a helles. Respect to the B&B for continuing to make lagers, though.
I'm going to score the beer based upon flavor moreso than style guidelines just to be fair. It's no helles, but it's not bad either.
