none of the beer here was particularly impressive to me, but this isnt bad, it just is in need of some cleaning up and some greater attention to the details. its lightly pink, but matte and cloudy from the tap and without much head, not a real attractive pint, despite the obvious presence of the fruit. the aroma is a little sweet from the berries which is nice, and relatively clean on the fermentation it seems, but the malt is a little heavy for the lighter fruit, and this comes across a little tired and lifeless. im not sure there is a place for the crystal malt in here, this would be improved by using a paler barley malt, in my opinion anyway. its less sweet than it smells, and the fruit seems real to me, but doesnt finish at all, just kind of hangs on the palate awhile, a fine flavor complexion, if a little one dimensional, but objectively speaking this is not a very well made beer, not bad, but certainly not good by modern standards. i like the low key nature of this place and the old school vibe of the beers, and this one is full of potential, but it needs more bubbles, maybe some filtration, and a little more balance.

Imperial Pint at "Ventis" taproom Salem Nice looking ale dark gold, large of white head OK aromas from what i could tell. Nice balanced wheat ale with blackberry taking up the back ground leading to a well drinkable summer quaffer. Palate good thin as expected but needed. Nice summer beer reminds me of Henry Weinhards Blackberry Wheat and that’s a good thing.
