On tap at the brewery. This schwarzbier poured a dark red brown color with a nice head on it. The head left a nice lace as it drained. There was not much aroma at all to this beer. The taste was better, but not by a lot. It had a nice malty flavor, but I would have hoped for more, and a bit more roasted notes to it. Not a bad beer, but I've had much more exciting scwarzbiers.

This German-style Schwarzbier touts a very roasted malt taste. I found the taste to be very light for the style, but it was a somewhat enjoyable brew nonetheless. The color is quite dark and black along with being quite opaque. I held the glass directly against the Sun and could discern no light passage at all. It has no discernible head and it leaves no lace. The starting taste is quite sweet, but finishes dry with no bitterness whatsoever. The mouthfeel is smooth, but a bit thin. Looks very stout, but isn't; just dark.
