My first time tasting this beer. Cloudy amber color in a Stone imperial pint glass. 3F head.
Cinammon pumpkin aroma. Really nice.
Full body MF.
Deep pumpkin, cinnamon with good bitterness in the finish.
One of my favorites in the style. Not artificial or lackluster. Lots of flavor, body, and hoppiness.

Orange-yellow with a white head.
Smells mostly of cinnamon and nutmeg.
Tastes like pumpkin pie spices with a pretty decent ale underneath. At first the spices seemed overbearing, but mellow out the more I drink it.
This is a pretty average pumpkin beer. Could be a little more balanced.

First off this beer is definitely not retired as they just released a new batch for Fall 2018.
This pours a hazy golden amber color that smells of pumpkin pie, though not overly so. The head doesn't last very long but it's actually a very attractive looking beer. The nose is nutmeg with some clove and a little ginger spice, but notably there's not really much cinnamon here. It really does smell like a pumpkin pie but not in an overly sweet or aggressive way. I find some pumpkin beers smell more like what a pumpkin pie candle smells like than what an actual pie smells like.
Taste generally follows the nose and again the spices are very clear and noticeable while not being at all overly done. Only the barest hint of sweetness as well. I have a hard time picking up squash flavors per se because even the savory squash dishes I most often eat (roasted or mashed butternut, or roasted acorn) generally have a little spice in them, so it's hard to be sure I'm not just responding to associations with the spice flavors. That said, this does somehow feel like it tastes a bit 'squashy'. Mouthfeel is fairly crisp and there is a little bitterness in the aftertaste, but it otherwise finishes clean. I do get just a hint that I can sort of feel the dried spices in the back of my throat, which is probably an illusion, but one that I often get with pumpkin beers.
This could maybe use a bit more of an identifiable malt character to balance the spices a bit, but it's really a pretty good beer that I'd definitely buy again. I do like pumpkin beers but I also tend to be a bit fussy about them, so this is well above average for me.

Darker amber and clear. Light head and no lace.
Sweet pumpkin pie spices. Very little malt and no hop nose.
The flavor is more balanced than the smell. Darker malt start with the cinnamon kicking quickly. Pumpkin prevails throughout the tasting with the aftertaste being strongest. Rich bodied with a low carbonation level.

A cloudy rusty colored brew with a decent fuzzy off-white head that quickly settles to a stubborn ring. The aroma is a nice pumpkin bread idea with a fair hint of sweetness but balanced. The flavor brings more of a vegetable heavy pumpkin-yam with grassy sweetness. Not a pumpkin pie brew but not completely harsh vegetable stuff either. It's medium-light bodied at best with a tingly but weak carbonation. This was a bit disappointing but relatively decent for the style.
