Gold to amber color, very dark for the style. Modest head, becomes rim bubbles, leaves thin streaks.
The aroma is of toasted malts.
There IS a creaminess to the taste, like no sugar, cream soda was added. This doesn't dominate the flavor though, there's a solid base pale malt and a distinctly bitter hop bite in the swallow. The combination brings complexity to the tasting. The beer is very rich for the style, while the carbonation is neutral. The aftertaste starts mildly bitter but becomes creamy. This is now my favorite cream ale.
