Served from tap in a shaker pint glass at the tap room.
Finally back in the Tighthead trivia saddle, so what better way to celebrate than a new india rye lager/rye pils (whichever way you wann go with it). This stuff pours a clear sunset tawny-brass topped by a finger of off-white foam. The nose comprises flowers, grass, light rye bread, mixed greens, a touch of biscuit, and a bit of toffee. The taste brings in more of the same, the hops certainly taking center stage, but they're strongly flanked on both sides by some toasted rye bread. The combination works exceedingly well, each side giving and taking as needed. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a dry, crisp finish. Overall, a very nice beer here, a good omen for the rest of the night (I hope).
