Well, we finished second tonight at trivia here, so it's slightly appropriate that I finish my drinking with Tighthead's new dubbel. This stuff pours a hazy tawny topped by a finger of light khaki foam. The nose comprises stonefruit, caramel, fig, light banana, and spicy yeast. The taste brings in more of the same, along with a vein of cocoa and some clove-y spice through the finish. The body is a light-leaning medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid feel. Overall, a tasty dubbel, one that tends toward the spicy end of the spectrum.
