Served on cask in a shaker pint glass at the tap room.
Another trivia night, another look toward the hand engine. This offering therefrom pours a midnight sienna topped by a finger or so of sandstone foam. The nose comprises strong sweet coffee, mild roasted malts, and a touch of cocoa powder beneath the waves. The taste brings in more of the same, the coffee really taking control of the situation, turning on the easily impressed groupie beers clustered nearby. The body is a light medium, with a light carbonation and a smooth feel. Overall, the coffee is a nice and welcome addition to an already solid porter. Good times.
