Served from tap in a snifter at the tap room.
Another night of trivia, another new barrel-aged imperial brown ale. This one pours a brackish midnight sienna topped by a half-finger at best of glowing light khaki foam. The nose is a blast of Woodford barrel, with some mild graham cracker in the background. The taste holds notes of bourbon, charred wood, toasted coconut, toasted vanilla bean, cinnamon, graham cracker, and a minor sniff of roasted malts. The body is a hefty medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid-ish finish. Overall, a solid barrel-aged imperial brown, not something for everyday consumption, but definitely a solid, tasty, and enjoyable beer.
