Served in a willibecher at Firkin.

A brew made exclusively for the Firkin, this stuff is a cask-conditioned blend of Tighthead's Chilly Water and Scarlet Fire. It pours a clear amber-garnet topped by a finger of off-white foam. The nose comprises maple syrup, pine sap, and light candied orange peel. The taste generally repeats this template, but in this case the sweet maple clashes starkly with not only the pine sap but a strong vein of mint. The body is a light-leaning medium, with a light carbonation and a smooth, nearly creamy feel. Overall, though both constituent parts are tasty beers, the combination just doesn't do it for me.
