Picked this up at a great little beer store in Arlon, Belgium, Miorge Mihoublon. Hazy copper-amber pour with a two finger off-white head with decent retention and lacing. Sweet, fruity, malt forward nose with hints of citrus, caramel, biscuit, and apple. The taste is malty and fruity with hints of apple, caramel, brown sugar, apricot, and bitter orange peel. The mouthfeel is tart and fizzy with a nice dry bitter finish. Overall, this is a unique and interesting interpretation of an ESB.

A: Pours hazy copper/brick with a large off-white fizzy head, which fades quickly but leaves elegant lacings on top of the glass.
S: Smell is quite hoppy, with citruses (tangerines, orange peel), notes of tropical fruits and some faint soaked red fruits. A solid malty backbone comes behind, along with some sweetness. Very balanced.
T: The taste is not as great as the nose, a bit too heavy for my taste but still flavorful with lots of caramel malts, brown sugar, biscuit, some spicy yeastiness. The sweetness is also well compensated by a massive bitterness (even if the IBU is only 54) on the finish.
M: Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied, with a bit too much carbonation. Crisp and refreshing however.
O: This beer is not very subtle but it was probably not really intended to be. Fruity nose, sweet taste, bitter aftertaste. All in one beer, quite nice that said.
