Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a becher pint glass. The appearance was a slight dark brown to almost purple sort of blend of a color. Just a cap of white foamy to almost fizzy head. Lace slides into the beer. The aroma blends a sweet to tart black raspberry flesh and skin to a subtle sweet wheat base. Some floral hops embrace the backbone. The flavor holds the black raspberry up front, somewhat sweet with a touch of tart and sour flowing on into the aftertaste and riding on into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. ABV felt fine and the tart/sour was tamed enough by the wheat portion to have a nice balance all around. Overall, surprisingly a nice find by this brewer. Definitely one to have in late Summer to me.
