On tap at the brewpub.

The beer pours a hazy reddish-amber color with a white head. The aroma has a lot of dark fruit in it, mainly made up of cherries with some plums also present. I also get some Belgian yeast notes, as well as some candy sugar.

The flavor is a nice mix of caramel malt, as well as some Belgian yeast, cloves, pepper and coriander. I also get some nice dark cherry notes and some sweetness from the sugar. A wonderful mix of malt, spices and fruit make this beer very nice and easy to drink.

Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Labeled as a Belgium red ale but it’s hoppy and described to me as more of a Belgium pale ale. More PA than amber? I can see it going in either camp, really. Nothing wrong with mixings up things. I get the color of a red, with more of the hop profile from a pale. There’s a great finish on this guy. Really tasty, perhaps my favorite of the three they had on tap the day I visited.
