A: opaque; deep brown - a hint of ruby when held to a light; 1 finger light brown head that receded quickly to a thin collar; no lacing;
S: chocolate and mint definitely come through, but there's something else there that's a little harsh; it may just be too much mint for my taste - needs a little balance;
T: follows the nose; again, for me, it needs more chocolate or less mint; mild bitterness on the finish;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation;
O; balance was off for my taste; a little too much peppermint;

Poured into a tall nonic glass. Emeges pitch black with a decent sized, mocha colored head resting on to. Head has decent retention. Sporadic lacing.
I got no peppermint, no chocolate, not much of anything. In fact, there is a distinct sourness to this beer that I dont dig. Kind of diapery and appley, like the fermentation and aging went bad.
Not a fan. Tastes like a homebrew gone wrong. Chalky, sour, dry, not appetizing.

Poured black with a good two fingers worth of medium brown head. I don't get much on the smell, maybe a little bit of dark chocolate. The taste is chocolate almost overpowered by peppermint but it works. The feel is well carbonated and full. Overall a pretty good stout. I wouldn't turn another one down.

Pours black with one finger of tan head. Smell is peppermint with a hint of chocolate. Think peppermint Patty with more peppermint candy smell. Thin mouthfeel but appropriate for the low ABV. Taste is mostly mildly roasty dark Ale with a hint of peppermint and no chocolate or cocoa. Peppermint flavor lingers as you drink it. Pretty good overall and Extra points for the 12 oz can format
