Very Good
CitrafiedCitrafied
Notes: This crushable pale ale is the result of over a year of experimentation to find the perfect combination of hope and barley. The exciting citra hop is featured prominently, so when you open this can, expect to get Citrafied with a whirlwind of tropical hop aromas and flavors.

Appearance: Pours clear and copper colored with a full three fingers; nice stickage and good lacing action

Smell: Biscuity malt tones with a hint of tropical fruit

Taste: The malt here plays a supporting role, with the slightly sweet flavor of the biscuit underpinning the tropical fruit tones; papaya and pineapple, in the forefront, with a tangerine and grapefruit aspect building, through the middle; relatively dry finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: A pretty nice APA; balanced and enjoyable

Pours amber with 3+ fingers of cream colored head. Above average head retention & lacing

S: Bready, grassy,

T: Follows the nose, some orange and dryness as well up front. More breadyness as this warms, along with a little mango & pomelo, plus dryness as this warms, a little cereal sweetness as well. Finishes dry with cereal notes, faint pomelo notes

MF: Medium body, slight carbonation, pretty good balance

Drinks easy but a little too simple to really hold your attention, kind of falls apart at the end

A: The beer is hazy yellow in color—too hazy to see if there is any visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high off white head.
S: Light to moderate aromas of citrusy hops are present in the nose along with hints of caramel malts.
T: The taste has flavors of citrusy hops along with notes of caramel malts. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is an easy to drink IPA that isn't too heavy on the palate.

From a can that was packaged a little over two months ago.
Smell: Citrusy, earthy, spicy hops. Mandarin oranges and limes dominate. Subtle breadiness from malt.
Look: it pours a pale golden color with an excessive 2" plus frothy white head that dies rather quickly. Just a tad of haze. An uneven lacing pattern is observed.
Feel: Medium light body as you would expect from a beer described as "crushable". Carbonation is light for the amount of head we saw earlier. Astringency subdued. Texture is semi-thin but creamy at the same time.
Taste: Citrus (mandarin and grapefruit) flavors are definitely there although not as assertive as you would have thought from the aroma. The bitterness is a bit unbalanced and treads on IPA territory.
Overall: Finish is smooth and quick with a slight bitterness persisting. Typical of these type session beers. I've had this beer many times and unfortunately this is not one of the better batches I've tasted. Just a bit uneven and uneventful.

Pale amber in color with a rocky head that settles into a one-finger collar of ivory foam. Eye-pleasing, to be sure. As advertised, Citra character leaps from the glass with pungent notes of lime, honeydew melon, tart gooseberry, and grapefruit against a subtle woodsy background. Definitely a hop forward beer. Medium bodied with a degree of lightness that makes it an easy-drinker, Citrafied delivers plenty of flavor, balanced bitterness, and a mellow ABV. Semi-dry in the finish with a citrusy linger, this is an American Pale Ale that is likely to accumulate fans.

Suppose I need to review this one because the score is completely skewed by one other reviewer's obviously off can. Other ratings seem to be more in line with my experience.

A medium light bodied, nicely citrusy APA, very crisp and dry overall. Moderately low bitterness, generally very drinkable. Simple, fresh, and nicely hoppy, avoids the total one-dimensionality of many session strength pales and IPA. Enjoyed at the beach which likely aided my score a tad.

Good presentation of the brew: light orange color, and good head retention.

On the nose and palate, it's smooth and juicy. The dank flavors often associated with Citra are very much in the background; this beer is really all about the orange and pineapple juice flavors. Good malt backbone as well.

This is the best beer I've had by Due South by a mile. I've not been a fan of their hoppy creations so far, but this one I would gladly order on tap.

I hate to be the fist review for this because it's going to be pretty terrible.

From a can 12/22/16, drinking on 2/12/17

Can has some sticky goo along the lid that apparently ran down the can. Its brown and flakes off when picked.

Pours a dead flat non carbonated pour like golden water. Zero carbonation.

Smell is, well smell is pretty damn good, citrusy, grapefruit, good aroma from the citra.

Taste is awful, not offensive but almost non existant. Hopelessly flat, oxidized, like wringing out a soggy sponge into your mouth,

Feel is gross, stale beer, nothing good about this.

Something went wrong here, this is bad.
