Served in a Sam Adams pint glass from a fresh crowler.
Nice deep amber red color with sticky medium lacing.
Aroma is a balance of toasted, biscuity malts and orangey hops.
Slight carbonation with a pleasant mouthfeel. Bready malts dominate at the front with a mild citrusy hop finish.
Reminiscent of a good ESB. Very nice take on the style.

On tap at Due South. Served in a taster.
Appearance - Burnt orange body. Medium white head. Sticky lacing and a few surface wisps.
Smell - Lots of grass, earth, and pine to the hops. Some orange citrus. No sweetness on the nose, but a toasty malt character behind the hops.
Taste - Less hoppy here. Some orange hop and sweetness before pine, toasty biscuit malt, and bitterness take over. Bitterness builds just too much.
Mouthfeel - Abrasively bitter at times. Medium carbonation.
Overall - I'm picky with my English IPAs. Nothing notable here, but I didn't mind drinking it.
